VOLUNTEERS EXPERIENCE

  • TARIK KARAMEHIĆ aka BILLY

    VISOKO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
I like to spend time here, work, participate in these volunteer actions, so last year was extremely difficult and sad for me, because there were almost no volunteers. This year, fortunately, the volunteers have returned to us, and the volunteer action has returned, so even though the number of volunteers is not the same as in previous years, I am happy because we are together again.
I worked at all locations in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids, from the Pyramid of the Sun and the Moon, through the tunnel Ravne and Ravne 3, all the way to the Zvonik and the Tumulus in Vratnica. I am here on the field every day, with volunteers from all over the world, and in addition to the obligations and work we do, I would especially emphasize the friendships we make and the friendships we have. These days we had a joint dinner at the Pyramid of the Moon, we are often in the city together, and I often go to Sarajevo with volunteers to show them our capital city.
  • Cain Azzopardi

    MALTA
I heard about the project from friends from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Balkans, I followed the project, my friends mentioned it, talked to me, then sent me various information and even translated videos of Doc Osmanagić and all that story interested me,so I decided to come.
The experience is very positive, I met a little different things, everything is so well explained and I carry only positive experiences from the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. I have not been to Bosnia before, and the first experience after coming here was that it could not be better. - Cain told us, adding that he will share his story and experiences with his friends from Bosnia and the Balkans living in Sweden, and that he hopes that his story will convince them to return and visit the first European pyramids.
  • STUDENTS OF MOSTAR COLLEGE

    MOSTAR, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Students of the United World College from Mostar (UWC Mostar) together with Professor Miljan Rupar spent the previous few days in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids, and arrived in Visoko to volunteer in the Bosnian Pyramids Research Project.
"I would like to thank you for your hospitality and organization, and we all felt part of the Foundation’s team and enjoyed every step of the way. If everything goes well, we definitely plan to come to Visoko next year." - said Professor Rupar.
  • Davor Miloš

    CROATIA (20 years in germany)
The story attracted me as soon as I found out about all this, I am interested in pyramids, I read and watched a lot about all this and this is my third time, but this time as a volunteer.
It's a great experience, socializing, food, tours, the whole story is great, then there are new people you meet, from different countries of the world, and the work itself through socializing is not difficult. Through these visits, I managed to visit all the locations, and those experiences are something I keep to myself. All this is fascinating to me as well as to everyone who loves things like this, so every time I stay longer, and we are all attracted to the same topic, and the whole team that is currently together, all intend to extend their stay, which speaks volumes about impressions and the atmosphere that reigns here.
  • Ruveyda Havva Dogdu

    TURKEY
I come here from Karabuk, a place near Ankara, and I have been living and studying in Sarajevo for three years. I was looking for a volunteer engagement, a project in which I would participate, I saw this project, applied, I was chosen to come here and through the Association "Young Volunteers" here I am for several days in the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids.
Everything is really positive. When I had an interview to come to the volunteer project, they asked me why I wanted to go and volunteer in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I said that I wanted to come here because of the pyramids I heard about. By the way, I am studying psychology, so I had the opportunity to get to know Bosnia and Herzegovina, since I live here, and I must tell you that the country is beautiful, the people are great, and I am especially impressed by everything they went through more than twenty years ago. years, and on the other hand, they kept the positivity and readiness to help other people. - told us Ruveyda, who together with three other colleagues volunteers in the tunnels "Ravne 3".
  • Marry Maclane

    ARIZONA, USA
I was on a trip to the Middle East and since I was already familiar with this project and research, I decided to come here. When I first heard about the pyramids in Bosnia, the first feeling was that they were real, so I just waited for the moment and the opportunity to come to the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids.
I am delighted with the whole project, how everything was wonderfully done, and I hope that with my engagement I will be able to help, since I have a lot of experience in archeology and anthropology. As for the arrival itself, I have never been to Bosnia and Herzegovina and to be honest I had no idea about this country or the place I am coming to. However, after a few days of volunteering, I can say that I am delighted and impressed by how kind, hospitable, friendly, willing and helpful the people in Bosnia are. Through this work and arrival, I get to know Bosnia and Herzegovina, the history and culture of this country, so this arrival is a complete success.
  • Jirži Štolc

    Czech
I learned about the project from my friends who stayed here five years ago and had the opportunity to visit the pyramids and tunnels of Ravne. After that, I got some information online and this year I wanted to come to the Expeditions to the Bosnian pyramids by volunteering. Unfortunately, due to the whole situation, we did not have an expedition, but that is why we are volunteering, so I decided to be part of the volunteer action.
For me, all this is a huge experience, especially part of meeting different people, but also to expand our horizons and get to know this project in a different way. In the nineties I heard about the events in this country and everything that happened, but I was not afraid when I came and I was not wrong, because I saw that the people here are great, friendly, I personally feel great and I hope to come here and in the following years.
  • Dominik Vargas

    Switzerland
Since childhood, I have been interested in ancient civilizations, pyramids and similar phenomena, and I first learned about pyramids in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018 or 2019. Since I follow the websites and media that deal with this topic, I learned a lot that way, I became interested, I decided to come, but unfortunately due to the situation in the world, I waited this year to come here.
Already from the plane upon arrival here I saw this magical greenery. My homeland, Switzerland, is known for its nature and mountains, but there is no such nature and greenery anywhere, so I called Bosnia "Green Country". I am delighted with the project, with everything I have seen so far, with the number of young people who give energy and do their best to make the project a success, but also with the people in this country who are positive, friendly and very hospitable. unlike other countries I’ve been to, including Switzerland.
